To celebrate warmly the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to deepen the love for the Party and the country among young students, the Party Committee of the School of Marxism recently held a themed essay competition marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Party under the theme "Of One Heart with the Party in Greeting Its Anniversary; With Pens in Hand, Youth Praises the Splendid Chapter." On the morning of June 17, the award ceremony of the competition was successfully held in Meeting Room 1600 of Huiwen Building. Professor Wang Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Shenzhen University and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, and Wang Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, attended the event.

Since its launch, the essay competition received an enthusiastic response from students across the School. Using their pens as a medium and their writing to express their feelings, the participating students drew on their encounters with the red tradition, their reflections on growing up and their youthful ideals to write about the Party's century-long journey of struggle and praise its glorious achievements, demonstrating the firm conviction of young people in the new era to heed the Party's words and follow the Party, and expressing their youthful aspirations to take root on campus and forge ahead with earnest action. The entries were profound in conception and sincere in style, combining ideological substance with literary quality. After fair judging and comprehensive deliberation by the panel of judges, a total of 4 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 10 third prizes were awarded.

At the award ceremony, Secretary Wang Hong and Deputy Secretary Wang Ping presented certificates of honor to the winning students one by one and extended warm congratulations to all of them. Secretary Wang Hong pointed out that the essay competition is an important vehicle for the School's Party building and ideological and political education, as it not only enriches the red cultural life on campus but also helps young students to experience the power of the red tradition through writing. She expressed her hopes that all young students of the School would remember the Party's history of struggle and build a solid foundation of ideals and convictions, translate their love for the country and the Party into inner motivation for diligent study, earnest practice and hard work, integrate their personal youthful ideals into the broader cause of national development, and, with a youthful and striving self, write the answer sheet of young people in the new era.
