On May 8, 2026, Sui Xin of the School of Marxism, Shenzhen University, went to Hunan University of Science and Technology to hold the first graduate admissions presentation. This presentation was intended for undergraduates from all programs across the university, and the event received strong assistance and a warm reception from Hunan University of Science and Technology. Ren Pengfei, head of the Student Daily Affairs Service Center of the Student Affairs Department of Hunan University of Science and Technology, attended and provided guidance for the presentation.
The presentation was successfully held from 16:30 to 18:30 on May 8, 2026, in Lecture Hall 1-3 of the No. 5 Teaching Building of Hunan University of Science and Technology, attracting more than 200 students. The event was aimed at deepening friendly inter-university cooperation between our university and Hunan University of Science and Technology, broadening the channels for recruiting high-quality prospective students, presenting in an all-round way the overall educational level and disciplinary characteristics of Shenzhen University, and systematically interpreting relevant graduate admissions policies, so as to build an efficient and smooth bridge of communication for subsequent admissions outreach.
At the presentation, Sui Xin gave a systematic introduction to the development trajectory of Shenzhen University and its School of Marxism, its faculty structure, research strength, results in team building and its graduate training system. She highlighted in particular that the university has in recent years continued to increase its investment in building up graduate education, steadily optimizing the structure of its faculty and upgrading its teaching and research hardware facilities, thereby providing solid support for graduate students' academic growth, research innovation and all-round development.
In the interactive session, students present enthusiastically asked questions and exchanged views on hot topics such as application policies, program selection and campus life. Sui Xin answered each question in detail: she clearly reviewed the application requirements and the complete admission procedures of each program, helping the students clarify their approach to applying and identify the focus of their exam preparation; drawing on the university's disciplinary characteristics and industry development trends, she analyzed in depth the development strengths and employment prospects of each program, offering scientific and feasible guidance for students' choice of program; and she also presented in detail high-quality teaching and research resources such as the library, study rooms and laboratories, and introduced the rich extracurricular life such as academic clubs and campus cultural and sports activities, leaving the students present full of longing for graduate study and life at Shenzhen University. The whole presentation featured a lively atmosphere of interaction and in-depth, efficient exchange.
Going forward, our School will continue to deepen coordinated engagement with the various bases for high-quality student intake, and, based on students' actual needs, keep optimizing the content of its presentations, enriching their forms and improving their precision, presenting the educational characteristics of the university and the School in an all-round way in a manner better suited to students' needs, so as to carry out graduate admissions outreach in a solid and in-depth manner. Through the continued, regular cultivation of student recruitment and the strengthening of inter-university cooperation, we will keep improving the quality of the School's graduate training and the influence of its discipline, and continuously attract for the university more high-quality prospective students with both academic potential and innovative thinking.
