    The School of Marxism Successfully Hosts the Third Campus-Level Competition of the National College Student Career Planning Contest

    Date:2025-11-18

    To strengthen career education and employment guidance, enhance university students’ awareness of career planning, help them prepare early for employment, adopt new concepts in career choice, and promote high-quality and sufficient employment, the School of Marxism successfully held the Third Campus-Level Competition of the National College Student Career Planning Contest on the afternoon of November 14, 2025. The judging panel for this event consisted of Wang Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School; Associate Professor Liu Haijuan; and Counselor Bian Kebing.

    The competition adopted a two-stage structure consisting of preliminary and final rounds. In the preliminary stage, the review panel conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the career planning materials submitted by participants and selected six contestants for the school-level final. During the final round, the six contestants presented career plans in fields such as high school political science teaching, university counseling, and anti-fraud specialization. They demonstrated how their personal qualities, competencies, and development paths aligned with the requirements of their target occupations and evolving labor market demands. These presentations highlighted the students’ strong sense of responsibility and commitment to integrating their professional knowledge with contemporary needs and social progress.

    The judges evaluated each contestant based on their personal statements and interview performance, adhering to the scoring criteria with a professional and rigorous approach. They provided detailed feedback and guidance on the students’ career plans, offering constructive suggestions regarding accuracy of career understanding, depth of value orientation, structural coherence, and clarity of on-site expression.

    In her concluding remarks, Deputy Secretary Wang Ping expressed high praise for the contestants’ performances and encouraged them to take on a leading role in promoting career planning awareness among their peers, fostering a positive and exploratory academic atmosphere within the School. She also offered four pieces of advice:

    1. Optimize résumés by precisely highlighting personal strengths and tailoring content to specific job requirements, allowing résumés to effectively serve as the “first step” in the job search process;

    2. Build confidence by actively seizing practical opportunities to sharpen skills and enhance overall competence, meeting future challenges with assurance;

    3. Integrate professional expertise with career planning, strengthening disciplinary knowledge and transforming academic strengths into core advantages for career development;

    4. Align personal aspirations with national development goals, cultivating a strong sense of commitment and social responsibility to give career planning greater depth, substance, and resonance.

    As a crucial component of the School’s talent cultivation and career education system, this competition not only provided students with a high-quality platform to showcase their talents and learn from each other—encouraging inspiration, reflection, and growth through interaction—but also effectively guided students to think deeply about their career directions. Through the innovative model of “learning through competition and training through competition,” students were able to clarify their life goals and build a solid foundation for future career development, empowering them to shine on the broad stage of life.
