    A delegation from the School of Marxism visited the School of Marxism at Beijing Normal University for research and study.

    On the afternoon of April 23, Dean Liu Zhi, Associate Dean Sun Tingting, Associate Dean Ren Heng, and administrative staff member Wang Yuqiao from the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University visited the School of Marxism at Beijing Normal University for a research and study exchange. They were warmly received by Dean Zhang Runzhi, Associate Dean Liu Hongsen, and Associate Dean Xiao Xiao of Beijing Normal University’s School of Marxism.

    The meeting was chaired by Dean Zhang Runzhi, who provided an overview of the School of Marxism at Beijing Normal University, covering ideological and political theory course teaching, faculty development, academic research, student cultivation, and Party building work.

    Dean Zhang highlighted that the School of Marxism at Beijing Normal University excels in ideological and political course teaching with a well-structured curriculum system. In addition to standard courses, the school offers selective compulsory and specialized courses, reflecting its pedagogical innovation. She also emphasized the school’s distinctive strength in integrating ideological and political education across primary, secondary, and higher education. Leveraging the university’s extensive network of affiliated schools nationwide, the school has established a unique institutional mechanism and implemented diverse, practical, and effective initiatives that have produced remarkable results.

    Dean Liu Zhi shared insights into the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University, focusing on its practical experience in developing Marxist theory education and discipline-building within the context of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. He outlined how the school has rooted itself in the region’s reform-driven environment to promote innovation in ideological and political education and enhance Marxist theoretical research.

    This visit facilitated open and substantive dialogue between the two institutions, leading to a broad consensus in areas such as ideological and political education and discipline construction. The exchange not only broadened perspectives and work approaches, but also provided valuable references for the development of both schools.

    Looking ahead, the two schools agreed to strengthen cooperation and maintain close academic ties, supporting each other in faculty training, curriculum development, and academic research. Together, they aim to advance the construction of Schools of Marxism to a new level, contributing greater strength to the education and development of Marxist theory in the new era.
