On the morning of April 24, Dean Liu Zhi, Associate Dean Sun Tingting, Associate Dean Ren Heng, and administrative staff member Wang Yuqiao from the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University visited the School of Marxism at Peking University for a research and study exchange. They were warmly received by Dean Yang Haifeng, Associate Dean Liu Jun, Associate Dean Zhong Qidong, and Office Director He Hua of Peking University’s School of Marxism.

The meeting was chaired by Dean Yang Haifeng, who provided a comprehensive overview of the School of Marxism at Peking University, including its historical development, ideological and political theory course (思政课) teaching, faculty development, academic research, talent cultivation, and Party building.

Dean Liu Zhi then introduced the key practices and achievements of the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University in talent cultivation, teaching, and scientific research, emphasizing how the school has leveraged the advantages of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone to promote innovation and growth in Marxist theory education.

During the discussion session, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on several key topics, including the evaluation index system for ideological and political course teaching quality, the training of young faculty members, the daily cultivation of graduate students, and practical teaching initiatives.

Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening communication and cooperation, maintaining close academic ties, and mutually supporting one another in advancing the development of their respective schools.

This exchange yielded fruitful outcomes, broadening perspectives and providing valuable insights. Moving forward, the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University will continue to deepen academic collaboration with renowned Marxist theory institutions across the country, enhance the quality of ideological and political education, and promote the development of Marxist theory as a discipline, thereby contributing to Shenzhen University’s “Double First-Class” initiative.
