The School of Marxism Holds the 2025 Employment (Examination for Teaching Positions) Experience Sharing Session

    Date:2025-03-25

On the afternoon of March 24, 2025, the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University successfully held the 2025 Employment (Examination for Teaching Positions) Experience Sharing Session in Meeting Room 2623, Huiwen Building. The session invited six graduate representatives who successfully secured teaching positions in primary and secondary schools in Shenzhen during the 2024 autumn recruitment to share their job-seeking experiences with all students of the school. This session was part of the School of Marxism’s proactive approach to assisting students in preparing for the spring recruitment, a "final push" to support graduates. The event was hosted by Wang Ping, the Party Secretary of the school.

    Guest Sharing Segment

    First Speaker: Li Zhiyin

Li Zhiyin focused on the dual value of education internships and ideological and political competitions in enhancing professional abilities. Through education internships, she accumulated classroom teaching experience, while teaching competitions helped her develop unique teaching techniques. Both elements together form the core support for her competitive edge. She also shared her personal resume and discussed how to create an eye-catching and distinctive resume, covering aspects such as content framework, showcasing advantages, and layout design.

    Second Speaker: Pan Jingxin

Pan Jingxin reminded students to pay close attention to recruitment announcements and stay updated on exam information to avoid missing opportunities due to delayed information. Regarding the coordination of three tasks—education internship, recruitment preparation, and thesis writing—she suggested beginning thesis writing earlier, scientifically planning tasks, and reasonably organizing internship and exam preparation time to improve the efficiency of both learning and work.

    Third Speaker: Yang Yu

Yang Yu shared videos of her job-seeking experiences from over ten recruitment fairs. She encouraged students to adjust their mindset during the job search, align career choices with their professional strengths, and maintain a positive attitude even in the face of challenges. She stressed the importance of persevering through tough times and demonstrated how to optimize job application strategies and adjust mindset to overcome obstacles.

    Fourth Speaker: Wu Xiaoyin

Wu Xiaoyin detailed her job-seeking journey from three perspectives: personal experience, interview skills, and interview records. She emphasized the importance of summarizing mistakes during practice to form a "feeling for the questions." In terms of interview techniques, she recommended preparing a distinctive self-introduction that makes a strong impression on the interviewer and avoiding generic answers. For specific regional interviews, she suggested being thoroughly familiar with one’s resume, as the questions often revolve around it.

    Fifth Speaker: He Longyan

He Longyan introduced the different teacher recruitment requirements and formats in cities such as Shenzhen, Foshan, and Zhuhai. She advised students to be flexible and showcase their strengths during the interview. She also shared a small tip: when entering the interview room, students should observe the room layout, especially the placement of the chalk and timer, to prevent external factors from affecting their performance.

    Sixth Speaker: Chen Yuying

Chen Yuying, based on her own exam preparation experience, provided specific study tips for the general education test, administrative aptitude test, and current affairs sections, helping students understand the exam content in advance. She also emphasized the equal importance of the interview and written exam, recommending simultaneous preparation for both to ensure a smooth transition from knowledge to practical ability during the autumn recruitment season.

    Q&A Session

After the sharing, in the "Interactive Exchange" session, students actively raised their questions about civil service and teacher recruitment exams, seeking advice on issues they were particularly concerned about. The six graduates answered every question thoroughly and in detail, creating a relaxed and lively atmosphere on-site.

    Summary Segment

In her closing remarks, Wang Ping, the Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, pointed out that this sharing session was the most targeted, up-to-date, and practical employment guidance for students. It reflected the school’s strong commitment to promoting employment and passing on its excellent traditions and spirit. She elaborated on the school’s key actions and measures to support students’ job searches and emphasized that every student should make thorough preparations: compile a high-quality resume, practice a mock interview, record a professional teaching video, and prepare a set of job-seeking gear.

The successful hosting of the graduate exchange and sharing session fully leveraged the exemplary role of outstanding graduates, serving as an important measure to advance academic atmosphere construction and employment guidance. The school will continue to focus on student needs, optimizing the "curriculum training - internship practice - employment services" full-chain educational system, helping students achieve their career aspirations.
