    The Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" Important Speech and The "Four Histories" Entering into Ideological and Political Classroom Seminar, as well as 2021 Forum of Regional Collaborative Innovation Center of Ideological and Political Cours

    On November 20, 2021, the School of Marxism of Shenzhen University, Regional Collaborative Innovation Center of Ideological and Political Courses in Guangdong Province, and the Research Center for the History of Reform and Opening up of Shenzhen University jointly hosted The Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" Important Speech and The "Four Histories" entering into Ideological and Political Classroom Seminar, as well as 2021 Forum of Regional Collaborative Innovation Center of Ideological and Political Courses in Guangdong Province. This forum was held online and offline simultaneously. Experts and scholars from about 20 colleges of Marxism in Shenzhen, Dongguan and Huizhou attended the meeting.

    Professor Luo Yuting of Wuhan University gave a keynote report entitled “'Thought First’ in the Centennial Struggle of the Communist Party of China”. He pointed out that "thinking first" is the theoretical innovation of the Chinese Communist Party's century-old struggle; "thought first" is a process of objective perception, a process of thinking leading the overall situation, and a process of consensus gathering strength. "Thought first" is a century-old experience of the Chinese Communist Party over the past century, and the core essence of the historical resolution of the Party as well. Professor Fu Heming gave a keynote report entitled "The Logic of Institutional Innovation in a Century of Brilliant Party History”. Analyzing examples of institutional innovations such as the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system led by the Party, the system of regional ethnic autonomy, the socialist market economic system, he concluded that the future society must answer the fundamental proposition of putting power in a cage, which has the meaning of a master switch, and realize the modernization of governance capabilities and governance systems.

    In the expert speech session, Wang Dejun, director of the Ideological and Political Education and Research Center of Southern University of Science and Technology, focused on "Telling Shenzhen's Story Well, Highlighting the Great Achievements of the Centennial Party”. Basing his research on the innovative achievements of the ideological and political courses of Southern University of Science and Technology, he pointed out that the valuable experience of the century-old party history should be made better use, so that we can tell the story of Shenzhen well, highlight the great achievements of the century-old party, and highlight the advantages of ideological and political courses in Shenzhen universities. Chen Yongli, secretary of the School of Marxism of Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College, focused on "Telling the ‘Shenzhen Story’ well and enhancing the teaching effectiveness of ideological and political courses”. He emphasized that the construction of ideological and political courses should be strengthened from two aspects: establishing and improving systems and mechanisms as well as reforming and innovating the construction of ideological and political courses. He shared with us the main measures taken by Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College and the main results achieved.

    Su Tao, deputy dean of the School of Marxism, Shenzhen University of Technology, shared with us "A Little Experience of Learning the Spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China”. He proposed that "innovation" plays an obvious role in the "Ten Valuable Historical Experiences", and the century-old history is a strong witness. The precious historical experience of establishing theoretical innovation and the new journey must continue to adhere to the precious historical experience of two "innovations". Lin Yan, Dean of the School of Marxism, Guangdong University of Science and Technology, proposed "Read the New ‘Three Character Classics’ and Inherit the Red Gene”. According to her, we should work hard from the top-level design, achieve ideological guidance and political guidance, grasp the education of party history and integrate it into ideological and political courses, further strengthen basic courses and adopt a variety of teaching methods to promote the reform of ideological and political courses.

    Deng Yufen, director of the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department of Huizhou Health Vocational and Technical College, focused on the “Strategy Study on the Integration of ‘Four History’ Education into Ideological and Political Courses in Higher Vocational Colleges”, and discussed the significance, principles, practices and outcomes of integrating "Four History" education into the ideological and political courses of higher vocational colleges. Xia Jinxiang, dean of the School of Marxism, Shenzhen Information Vocational and Technical College, presented "Theory and Practice of Life-oriented Moral Education", and discussed the life-oriented moral education from three aspects: what is life-oriented moral education, why should we carry out life-oriented moral education, and how to carry out life-oriented moral education. Based on both theory and practice, he proposed to construct a new model of "reading, discussing, speaking, and using" life-oriented moral education classroom teaching.

    Associate Professor Ma Junjun from Southern University of Science and Technology described "The History of Shenzhen's Reform and Opening-up Incorporated into the Teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities", which was elaborated from four aspects: the origin, design, progress and problems to be solved of the research. This is the political requirement of "four histories" entering into the ideological and political classroom, the teaching requirement of the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses, and the learning requirements of college students in the pilot demonstration area. Lecturer Zhao Jie from Dongguan University of Technology presented the "Methods of ‘Four History’ Education Integrating Ideological and Political Classroom Teaching", that is, to establish problem awareness, use event teaching method, carry out ideological and political courses in a dynamic way, and use local resources to carry out experiential teaching method .

    Professor Xu Jianhua, deputy dean of the School of Marxism, Shenzhen University presided over the meeting. Professor Fu Heming made a concluding speech. He pointed out that it is necessary to make good use of the platform of the Regional Collaborative Innovation Center of Ideological and Political Courses in Guangdong Province to establish a normalized and institutionalized work exchange mechanism. Colleges and universities should cooperate and communicate with each other, share resources, and promote the coordinated development of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.
