Speaker Biography

Wang Shuyin is a member of the Academic Committee and Teaching Committee of Beijing Normal University, a Distinguished Professor (Jingshi Special Appointment), Chair of the Academic Committee of the School of Marxism, second-tier professor, and doctoral supervisor. He is a National Teaching Master and a recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance.

He concurrently serves as:

  • Member of the 8th Discipline Review Group for Marxist Theory & CPC History and Party Building, Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council

  • Member of the Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee

  • Member of the National Off-campus Education and Training Supervision Expert Committee

  • President of the Higher Education Teaching and Research Committee, Chinese Society of National History

  • Vice President of the National Association for Marxist Theoretical Research in Higher Education

  • Council Member of the China Higher Education Society and Executive Council Member of the Ideological and Political Education Branch

  • President of the Beijing Association for Ideological and Moral Education and Rule of Law Research

  • Vice President of the Beijing CPC History Society

  • Editorial board member for Marxism Research, Teaching and Research, Ideological and Theoretical Education Guide, Marxist Theory Discipline Research, and RUC’s Ideological and Political Education journal;

  • Deputy Director of the Editorial Board for Ideological Education Research

Professor Wang has presided over more than ten major projects, including National Social Science Fund major projects, Major Projects of the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project (Marxism Project), and Ministry of Education major project programs. He has published over 30 monographs and textbooks, more than 200 academic papers, and earned multiple distinguished awards, including:

  • Excellent Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences of Higher Education

  • National Excellent Teaching Achievement Award

  • First National Textbook Construction Award

  • National Outstanding Teacher Award for Ideological and Political Theory Courses
