In warm celebration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and in a vigorous effort to carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party, the Party Committee of the School of Marxism gave full play to the School's core strengths in nurturing people through theory and forging the soul through ideological and political education, and organized a series of themed activities. Integrating such formats as immersive experiential study, theoretical lectures and exchange seminars, these activities guided all faculty and students of the School to look back on the Party's century-long history, firm up their ideals and convictions, and gather strength for forging ahead.

Watching the grand gathering with united hearts, reflecting on the original aspiration through earnest action. On the morning of July 1, the School organized faculty and student representatives to gather in Meeting Room 1600 of Huiwen Building to watch the live broadcast of the gathering celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Throughout the event, all faculty and students listened attentively and reflected quietly, reviewing in an immersive way the brilliant achievements of the Party's century-long struggle and gaining a deeper understanding of the great changes of the new era. Drawing wisdom and gathering strength for forging ahead from the Party's century-long journey of struggle, they further strengthened their intellectual, political and action consciousness in heeding the Party's words, following the Party and making new contributions.

Studying the Important Speech in Depth, Upholding the Mission of Forging the Soul Through Education. On the morning of July 2, the faculty Party branches of the School promptly convened special meetings of Party members, organizing all teachers of ideological and political courses to study together the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the gathering celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Party members present studied the original text of the speech paragraph by paragraph and exchanged what they had learned. Grounded in the realities of their posts in Marxist theory teaching, theoretical research and interpretation, they held in-depth discussions on how to translate the spirit of the speech into educational practice that fosters virtue through education and cultivates the roots and casts the soul, giving full play to the exemplary role of the School of Marxism's teachers as a vanguard in disseminating the Party's innovative theories.

Wang Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, said that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, running through the Party's century-long history and expounding the true essence of theory, is a programmatic document guiding our theoretical research, ideological and political education, and Party building at the grassroots level. As the principal base for research on and dissemination of the Party's innovative theories, the School of Marxism should have all its teachers of ideological and political courses study one step ahead and one level deeper, study deeply and comprehend thoroughly the spirit of the speech, and explain clearly "why the Communist Party of China is able, why Marxism works, and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good." She stressed that Party building in the School must closely focus on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and that high-quality Party building should lead all-round improvement in teaching, research and education. All Party member teachers should take this series of celebratory activities as an opportunity to keep firmly in mind the oath they took upon joining the Party and to shoulder the mission of ideological and political education, striving to become "great teachers" who integrate the roles of "a teacher of knowledge" and "a teacher of virtue." They should integrate the great founding spirit of the Party into classroom teaching, theoretical interpretation and practice-based study, tell young people well the story of the Party's century-long struggle, and guide young students to consciously integrate their personal ideals into the broader cause of building a strong China and achieving national rejuvenation.

Dawn Ushers in the Celebration of the Party's Anniversary; Youth Devoted to the Party Lives Out Its Original Aspiration. In the early morning of July 1, the School of Marxism, together with the Xinjiang Ethnic Preparatory Class, held a themed flag-raising ceremony celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, along with a Party and Youth League themed activity under the theme "I Am Part of Building a Strong China and Achieving National Rejuvenation" — honoring the century-old great Party with a solemn ceremony and setting out on the journey of national rejuvenation with youthful vows. Wang Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, attended the event and gave a special Party lecture titled "Carrying Forward the Red Bloodline and Shouldering the Mission of Youth." Grounded in the magnificent course of the Communist Party of China's more than a century of struggle, and closely following the core connotations of ideological and political education in the new era and the laws governing the growth and development of young people, she explained in a step-by-step and in-depth manner the Party's original aspiration and mission and the responsibilities of youth in the new era. She expressed her hopes for the young students: to delve deep into the fertile soil of Party history and draw strength from their convictions, to deepen their devotion to family and country and hone solid capabilities, to cultivate virtue and increase competence through the unity of knowledge and action, and to answer the call of the times with a youthful and striving self.At the event, Mukaddas Wupur, a student representative of the Xinjiang Ethnic Preparatory Class, delivered a themed speech under the national flag. From the distinctive perspective of an ethnic minority young person, and drawing on her own experience of growing up and the changes in her hometown, she vividly recounted the true story of coming of age healthily under the Party's care and nurturing and witnessing the rapidly changing border region. She sincerely expressed the young people of all ethnic groups' heartfelt original aspiration and firm conviction to be of one heart with the Party, to treat one another as brothers and sisters, and to help one another in jointly striving for the great cause of national rejuvenation, fully demonstrating the youthful spirit of young people of all ethnic groups in the new era who unswervingly heed the Party's words and follow the Party.

This series of activities was both a profound tempering of the red spirit and a heartfelt, down-to-earth practice of fostering virtue through education. The School of Marxism will always uphold the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, continue to enrich the fertile soil for education in the red tradition, pass on the red genes and carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party, and keep promoting the deep integration of Party building with ideological and political education and theoretical research, so as to consolidate the front of Marxist theory education and solidify the foundation for nurturing people, contributing the strength of higher education's ideological and political work and the sense of responsibility of a School of Marxism to the great cause of building a strong China and achieving national rejuvenation.
