    Date:2025-06-05

On the afternoon of May 28, 2025, the School of Marxism successfully held the Midterm Mentor–Young Faculty Symposium of the “Torch Relay Program” in Room 1600, Huiwen Building. The meeting was chaired by Associate Professor Ren Heng, head of the mentor group. Participants included mentor group members Prof. Fu Heming, Prof. Gao Wang, Prof. Du Ting, Prof. Guo Xiaoshuo, Prof. Jing Ruofan, and Prof. Liu Haijuan, as well as young faculty members Zhao Leilei, Xiang Yuzhen, and Lu Yanduo. The discussion focused on enhancing young teachers’ instructional abilities and improving classroom teaching quality.

During the symposium, the mentor group offered specific feedback for each young teacher based on earlier classroom observations, covering aspects such as teaching content design, classroom interaction techniques, and lesson pacing. The young teachers actively shared the challenges they encountered in their teaching practice. Both sides engaged in lively discussions on how to optimize classroom instruction and stimulate students’ learning interest, creating a warm and collaborative atmosphere.

As an important initiative for nurturing young educators, the “Torch Relay Program” aims to support faculty development through a mentorship model of “guidance, support, and collaboration.” This symposium not only built a valuable communication bridge between mentors and young teachers but also laid a solid foundation for further improving the School’s overall teaching quality. Looking ahead, the School of Marxism will continue to advance the “Torch Relay Program” and promote the comprehensive enhancement of its teaching team.
