    Date:2024-12-02

In order to implement the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the State Council, and to promote the spirit of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Employment Promotion" issued by the State Council, this event aims to strengthen career education and employment guidance in universities, enhance students' awareness of career planning, and guide them to prepare for employment early. This initiative opens up new possibilities for employment with a fresh perspective on job selection, contributing to high-quality and full employment. On the morning of November 20, 2024, the School of Marxism successfully held the second session of the National College Student Career Planning Competition (School-Level Round). The Deputy Party Secretary of the School, Wang Ping, Counselor Bian Kebing, and Organizing Member Xie Dongdong served as judges for the competition.

The theme of this competition was "Building Dreams in Youth, Aiming for All Directions; Planning to Set Sail, Career Guidance to the Future." To further stimulate the graduate students' reflection on their career paths and to help them clarify their career direction while establishing a correct professional value system, the School attached great importance to the event. It actively prepared, quickly appointed liaison officers, and pushed forward the subsequent work. By releasing official documents and setting up a consultation group for the competition, the School provided comprehensive support to the participants to ensure their smooth participation. The university also organized a series of preparatory lectures to help participants better understand and engage in the competition. The lectures covered the interpretation of the competition rules, analysis of preparation strategies, and sharing of preparation experiences, helping each participant to stand out in the competition and achieve the initial goals of their career planning.

The competition used a two-tier system: a preliminary round and a final round. In the preliminary round, the evaluation team reviewed the submitted materials, selecting contestants to advance to the final round. The final round was held as a live competition, where the final candidates were selected to participate in the university-wide competition. During the preliminary round, the evaluation team carefully reviewed each participant's career planning materials, comprehensively assessing the comprehensiveness, relevance, professionalism, and feasibility of the materials. A total of seven participants were selected to proceed to the final round. These seven contestants showcased their personal qualities, professional skills, and the alignment of their development paths with the job market's demands. The participants displayed their job-seeking abilities, job competence, and growth potential through personal statements and comprehensive interviews.

The evaluation team, in a fair and impartial manner, scored the participants according to the set criteria based on their personal statements and interview performances, and provided detailed feedback and targeted improvement suggestions for their career plans. The contestants not only demonstrated their personal strengths but also highlighted the deep sense of national pride and responsibility that the students of the School of Marxism possess, with their high ambitions to align their youth with the development of the country.

After intense competition, the final winners of the School's Career Planning Competition were determined. The list of winners will be announced below this article. This competition not only enhanced students' awareness of career planning but also provided valuable experience for the School’s career planning work. Through this competition, students not only clarified their career direction and established correct professional values, but also honed their practical skills.
