In order to thoroughly implement the deployment requirements of the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Department of Education, and the university regarding the employment work for the 2025 cohort of graduates, and to seize the critical spring employment promotion period, the School of Marxism has recently launched a series of actions to promote employment. They have introduced a special employment promotion plan for 2025 and initiated the “Spring Breeze Action” with 20 key tasks to fully support high-quality and sufficient employment for graduates.
Meticulous Planning and Heartfelt Strategy
On March 12, the Employment Work Leading Group of the School of Marxism held a special seminar on the employment work for the 2025 cohort of graduates in Room 1620 of Huīwén Building. The seminar was attended by Professor Wang Hong, Party Secretary of the school, Professor Liu Zhi, Dean, and other members of the group.
The meeting conveyed the spirit of the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education regarding the employment work for college graduates, as well as the university’s 2025 graduate employment work promotion conference requirements. The Employment Work Leading Group members summarized the employment situation of graduates over the past three years and discussed the current employment market characteristics and trends. They explored solutions for the employment situation of Marxism discipline students this year. The meeting concluded that the work must adhere to the “dual-drive approach of ideological guidance and action-driven efforts.” In terms of mindset, it is essential to stabilize emotions and closely monitor and address student psychological well-being. In terms of actions, a special work plan was formulated to integrate the resources and wisdom of the entire faculty to vigorously promote the 20 key tasks of the “Spring Breeze Action”: improving mechanisms, building an inclusive employment work framework, gathering resources, expanding new employment channels, providing employment guidance, adjusting job expectations, offering training to enhance job readiness, and providing financial assistance to relieve job search concerns.

Close to Needs, Warm Support
On March 17, the School of Marxism held a graduate employment forum for the 2025 cohort in Room 2623 of Huīwén Building, where Party Secretary Wang Hong had a face-to-face exchange with the students. She analyzed the current employment situation in detail, introduced the school’s recent employment outcomes, and encouraged the graduates to stay proactive, clarify their goals, and explore multiple channels for employment. The seminar was hosted by Wang Ping, the Party Committee Deputy Secretary.
Before the seminar, the school conducted a survey to understand the employment situation of the 2025 graduates. During the seminar, feedback and suggestions from all students regarding the employment work were collected. Based on the students’ employment intentions, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, internship experience, and social background, the school established individual employment profiles to provide tailored employment support and match them with recommended job positions. The school actively collaborated with primary and secondary schools, enterprises, and institutions to create integrated internship and employment bases that align with the school’s talent training objectives, providing a platform and opportunities for students to transition from internships to full-time employment. By leveraging the resources of faculty, alumni, and social networks, the school strives to uncover and create as many employment opportunities as possible. Targeted job search assistance was provided to support economically disadvantaged students, including job application material preparation and travel reimbursements. Additionally, the school offered specialized training for students preparing for civil service exams or public sector roles, and provided facilities and professional guidance for mock interviews and other employment skills training.

The School of Marxism adheres to a student-centered approach and a service philosophy that is “detailed and personalized,” integrating the efforts of academic staff, graduate advisors, faculty members, and alumni to offer “point-to-point” and tailored employment guidance. The goal is to ensure employment work is in sync with student needs and to provide every graduate with support in resume revision, interview preparation, and job recommendations, offering comprehensive, multi-level employment support for each student and accompanying them through the job search journey with heart and care.
