On the morning of September 13, in Conference Room 2623 of the Huiwen Building, the Party Committee of the School of Marxism organized a meeting for all faculty members to deeply study the spirit of the 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session. The meeting was attended by Professor Wang Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Liu Zhi, Dean of the School, and all faculty members. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Wang Hong.
Secretary Wang Hong led the study of the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Reform and Promoting Chinese-Style Modernization. She emphasized that the 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session is a critical and highly significant meeting, convened at a key moment in the comprehensive advancement of Chinese-style modernization, contributing to the country’s strength and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The Decision adopted at the session will mark another milestone transformation in the history of the Party and the country’s development. The School of Marxism must take this opportunity to study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Plenary Session with a strong sense of political responsibility and historical mission. The school must faithfully carry out the Central Committee’s decisions regarding the construction of ideological and political education, perform its duties diligently, and work towards developing the School of Marxism, ensuring steady progress along the path of high-quality development.
Dean Liu Zhi emphasized that faculty members must enhance their political, intellectual, and practical awareness to better conduct research and interpretation of the Party’s innovative theories. The research should focus on the key ideas, strategies, and initiatives put forward during the 20th Plenary Session, aiming for academic rigor and systematization. Faculty should deeply explore and explain the theoretical logic and practical experiences of the comprehensive deepening of reform in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and the promotion of Chinese-style modernization. By producing research outcomes that are both theoretically persuasive and practically instructive, the school will improve the quality and effectiveness of policy advisory efforts, providing theoretical and intellectual support for further reforms in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
At the symposium, participating faculty members engaged in extensive discussions, combining their respective research areas and practical work with how to integrate the spirit of the 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session into ideological and political courses.
