Kang Wanying

Born in August 1993, native of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, member of the Communist Party of China.

Studied at the School of History and Culture, Shandong University from 2011 to 2015, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in History; studied at the Department of History, University College London (UCL) from 2015 to 2016, obtaining a Master's degree; studied at the Institute of Modern Chinese History, Central China Normal University from 2017 to 2021, obtaining a Ph.D. in History, with joint training at the Department of History, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Joined the School of Marxism, Shenzhen University in January 2022, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Marxism (School of Social Sciences), Shenzhen University, and a master's supervisor. Recognized as a talent in the "Pengcheng Peacock Plan". Main research areas include the social history of religion in modern China and the history of cultural exchanges between China and the West.

Research Achievements:

Led one provincial-level project, participated in several major projects of the National Social Science Fund, youth projects of the National Social Science Fund, and youth projects of the Shenzhen Philosophy and Social Science Planning. Published several academic papers in CSSCI source journals, SSCI journals, and professional journals such as Jianghan Tribune, Academic Exploration, and PSYCHIATRIA DANUBINA.
