From 1997 to 2001, studied at the Experimental Class of Humanities at Peking University, earning a Bachelor's degree. From 2001 to 2003, studied in the Department of History at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, earning a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree. From 2003 to 2011, studied in the Department of History at Columbia University in the United States, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Has been teaching at Shenzhen University since September 2012. Research involves modern and contemporary Chinese history, legal history, and in recent years has focused mainly on the history of reform and opening-up and urban cultural development. Currently teaches the undergraduate course "Modern Chinese History." In recent years, has published several academic papers in journals such as Academic Research, Modern Chinese History, Guangdong Social Sciences, and Journal of Shenzhen University. Some of these papers have been reprinted by Renmin University Reprints and excerpted by China Social Sciences Digest. The papers "Land Transactions Seen in Legal Documents from Turpan Office in the Qing Dynasty" and "Cultural Flow in Contemporary Immigrant Society: A Study Centered on Shenzhen" have won the Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Shenzhen. Leads one sub-project of a major National Social Science Fund project and several municipal-level projects. Has published two translated books.
