Teacher's demeanor

Zhang Shoukui

Zhang Shoukui, Ph.D. in Philosophy from Sun Yat-sen University, Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy from Fudan University, currently a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Marxism at Shenzhen University, Director of the Chinese Society for Human Studies, Adjunct Researcher at the Institute of Marxist Philosophy and Modernization at Sun Yat-sen University, Distinguished Researcher at the Center for Practical Philosophy at Sun Yat-sen University, and Visiting Scholar at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan and Renmin University of China. In June 2014, he was selected as a "High-level Talent of Shenzhen." From 2006 to 2008, he taught at the Party School of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee. He has led three projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, one project funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and six other provincial and ministerial-level social science projects. He has participated in two major national philosophy and social science projects, published three monographs, and more than 40 papers in major domestic journals such as *Marxist Studies*, *Guangming Daily* (Theoretical Edition), *Philosophical Trends*, and *Academic Research*. Many of these papers have been reprinted by *China Social Sciences Digest*, Renmin University Reprints of *Principles of Philosophy* and *Marxist-Leninist Studies*, Guangming Net, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Science Planning, China Social Sciences Net, and the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau website. His main research directions include the history of Chinese and foreign Marxist thought, urban civilization and urban modernity, and modern social and political philosophy research.
