On the afternoon of April 26, the School of Marxism held the “School of Marxism Fun and Competitive Badminton Tournament” at the Badminton Gymnasium of the Yuehai Campus. The event aimed to meet teachers’ cultural and recreational needs, relieve work-related stress, enhance the physical and mental well-being of faculty members, and strengthen unity within the school. Faculty members enthusiastically signed up and actively participated in the tournament.
Five teams representing different teaching and research sections of the School participated in the competition. The tournament consisted of two categories — fun events and competitive matches.
The Fun Events included the Targeted Serve and Ball Carry Through the Net challenges.
In the Targeted Serve event, team members served shuttlecocks into a designated bucket, and the team with the highest total number of shuttlecocks in the bucket won.
In the Ball Carry Through the Net event, participants carried a shuttlecock on their racket while moving through a net obstacle course, with the shortest total time determining the winner.
The Competitive Matches featured the Masters’ Duel, where each team selected two top players to compete over three rounds to determine the champion.
Throughout the tournament, players demonstrated excellent skills, coordination, and teamwork, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. After multiple rounds of intense and entertaining matches, the Ideological and Moral Cultivation Team, the Basic Principles of Marxism Team, and the Administrative Team emerged as winners.
The event not only allowed teachers to exercise and relax but also strengthened camaraderie and communication among colleagues. It fully showcased the School of Marxism’s spirit of positivity, unity, and progress.
